That’s when you go for a job interview. It matters not how efficient you (may) have been or how committed and useful you might prove to be. What matters is how well you sell yourself, irrespective of other qualities - true merit, honesty, commitment etc. Just brag about yourself, dish out a bagful of lies about your abilities and achievements… if you can, try and sound a bit toadyish about your would-be employer, especially, if he is one of the interviewers. That is bound to win you a place under his shadow. Rest assured, your selection is guaranteed.
However, if you are self-effacing and honest; try speaking your mind, and if you do not enjoy boasting about your achievements, you end up being rejected; your aspirations shattered and your confidence crushed. A friend of mine went through this agonizing experience a few months ago, owing to her misplaced regard for someone whom she probably mistook for a selfless soul.
TODAY'S CODE OF ETHICS!
RETICENCE is lack of comunication skills
HONESTY and SINCERITY indicate foolishnes
MODESTY shows lack of confidence
SNOBBISHNESS is a sign of knowledge
RUDENESS implies smartness
POLITENESS is timidity
Nevertheless, isn't uprightness more important than so-called success?
